There are solubilised sulphur black available in the sulphur dyes market, which are dyes generated by the sulfurization reaction of aromatic amines, phenols, or nitro compounds with sulfur or sodium polysulfide.

Sulfur dyes are insoluble in water, when you use sulphur dyes, such as sulphur black to dyeing, you willl need sodium sulfide or other deoxidizer. After soluble, it has an affinity for fibers and  it will color the fibers, The fibers colored by sulphur dyes then be oxidized and colored to restore their insoluble state and fixed to the fibers. So sulfur dyes are also a type of vat dye. Sulfur dyes can be used for dyeing fibers such as cotton, hemp, and viscose. Their manufacturing process is relatively simple, and their cost is low. They can dye single or mixed colors, and have good light fastness and poor wear resistance and fastness. The chromatography lacks red and purple, with a darker color, making it suitable for dyeing with deep colors.
